Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant and authoritative word of God for the Christian faith and for living.  Unchanging moral truth exists and is such defined by the Bible.
(2 Timothy 3.16 & 2 Peter 1.20-21)

Trinity

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things.  He exists in three persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28.19-20 & John 1.1-4)

Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of an earthly virgin, and was both God and Man.  He lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and rose again to conquer death and empower us for life.  He is the only one who can reconcile us to God.
(John 1.1,14; 1 Timothy 2.5 & Matthew 2.18)

Redemption & Salvation

We believe though originally good, man willingly fell into sin and that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives.  Man’s only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  This redemption comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ and through His death, burial and resurrection.  Salvation is a free gift, not something we can deserve or earn.   It is received through belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and repentance of sin.
(Genesis 3. 6 , Romans 5.12-21, Ephesians 2. 8-9 & Titus 3:5-7)

The Church

We believe the Church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, whose purpose is the fulfillment of the great commission.  Every follower of Jesus is an integral and essential member of this body and is to do their part in representing Him to the world.
(Ephesians 1. 22,23; 2.22 & Hebrews 12.23)

The Ordinances of the Church: Water Baptism & Holy Communion

    Water Baptism

We believe that after receiving the Lord Jesus Christ, the new believer is commanded in the Bible to be baptized in water in the name of Jesus.  Obedience to this command is an outward and visible testimony to the inward change that has taken place.
(Matthew 28.19 & Acts 2.38)

    Holy Communion

We believe that Holy communion is a special time in the presence of God when the elements of bread and the fruit of the vine, representing the body and blood of Jesus Christ, are taken by believers in remembrance of His sacrifice on the cross.
(1 Corinthians 10.16, 11.23-25)

Spiritual Gifts

We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are a normal part of any believer’s experience.  We believe that God has individually equipped us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives, which is to worship God, fulfill our role in the church, and serve the community in which we live.
(Acts 1.8; 8.15-16, 10.46, 19.6 & Mark 16.20)

Sanctification

We believe that sanctification is the ongoing process of being set apart for God.  Once we are saved we begin a lifelong process of yielding our lives to God to complete Christ’s ongoing character development in us.
(I Thessalonians 5.23 & Romans 8.29, 12.1-2)

Second Coming

We believe Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His kingdom.  This happens at an undisclosed time according to the Bible, and is to be eagerly anticipated by all believers.
(Revelation 1.7; Acts 1.9-11 & Matthew 24.30)

Resurrection

We believe that Jesus Christ was physically resurrected from the dead in a glorified body three days after His death on the cross.  One day all believers in Christ will also be physically resurrected in glorified bodies to their reward in heaven.
(Luke 24; Phil 1.21-23 & 1 Corinthians 15. 42,44)

Heaven & Hell

We believe that heaven is the real and eternal dwelling place of all who believe in Jesus Christ, while an eternity in hell is the just and final judgment of all those who have rejected Christ.
Heaven - (2 Corinthians 5.1; 1 Peter 1.4 & Hebrews 11.16)

Hell - (Hebrews 9.27; Matthew 25. 41-46 & Mark 9. 43-48)
